Park(ing) Day is a one day global event where people across the world temporarily repurpose street parking spaces and convert them to tiny parks and places for art, play, and activism.
Event Details:
Friday, September 20 from 10 AM - 4 PM
Around the world and in Chattanooga (2 blocks along Broad Street between 6th Street and 8th Street)
Parklet hosts will create a small park, installed in a parking space
Chattanooga Parking Authority is offering 50 parking spaces along the event route at no charge
No fee to host a parklet or to attend the event
No sales allowed at Park(ing) Day - No fee means free!
Attendees will visit parklets along the event route and enjoy activities along the way
